I am deeply confused at the frequent occurrence of the 1975; I feel like I have listened to them sparingly? Weirdly enough my past three years top songs have been three different Pixies songs off the same album and yet the 1975 is somehow my artist of the decade/ Make it make sense. Cage the Elephant is number one because I had to listen to their new album over and over to learn the songs for a concert I went to. Its not even my favorite album. Led Zeppelin is over-represented because of a 4-5 hour road trip I took over the summer alone, appropriate cruising down the 101 music. If that makes me a boomer then so be it. Also, I cant name a sing le Wavves song. I think that popped up because Twitter drama about him being a landlord prompted me to see what the music is like. I dont remember. Overall, this wrapped is a good summary of what I listen to on repeat to induce a calming, meditative mental state. Meet The Admissions Experts Cindy Tokumitsu

Next up is†¦Cindy Tokumitsu. Accepted: Can you tell us a little about yourself? Where and what did you study as a student?   Cindy: I studied at SUNY Buffalo, focusing on art history, criticism, and literature. These are all topics that involve the analysis of presentation, and the relationship between form and content – elements that prove consistently germane to my work with Accepted. Regardless of admissions trends and the evolution of the process as it becomes permeated by technology, these elements endure; they are at the heart of the process. Accepted: Whats your favorite non-school/non-work book? Cindy: It’s a tie, both novels: Thomas Mann’s Magic Mountain and Joseph Roth’s Radetzky March. The latter is not a perfect novel, but it is so humane and so deeply evocative of a place and time that it really changed my perspective and understanding. The former is just so packed with compelling themes, ideas, story lines, and characters, that I felt totally gripped by an amazing vortex the whole time I was reading it. Like being tossed on a raging sea by surprise, and finishing was like landing on a new shore; â€Å"Wow, where am I†¦?† Accepted: Can you talk about the road that led you to becoming an admissions consultant for Accepted? What jobs and experiences led you to this point? Cindy: There are 3 main threads of prior experience that cohere into this ideal job. First, many, many years ago, I taught English in Japan. This experience taught me to understand each person’s learning style and learning needs, and to help non-native English speakers become more natural with the language, so they could express themselves. Second, I worked for a niche business publisher for six-plus years first as an acquisitions editor and then as editorial director. This experience familiarized me with business. It also taught me to understand a target audience and develop products that met their needs. Publishing is a collaborative effort ultimately, and it also made me a sensitive and astute collaborator, as I was the link between our authors and our marketing and finance teams (in some ways resembling my role at Accepted as link between the client/applicant and the adcom readers). Third, and not least, I worked for many years as an independent writer, editor, and project manager. I worked a lot on marketing, finance, and education materials. Among other things, it enhanced my ability to take raw content and out of it fashion an effective story, case, or presentation for a given audience. The breadth of content and diversity of people I have worked with is quite amazing, and this breadth helps me see each type of content and each person more clearly – more so than if I had been immersed in one specialization only – the relative perspective is valuable. Accepted: Whats your favorite thing about consulting? Cindy: No surprise here – the endless learning, plus the amazing people I meet. People who not only impress me, but, often, move me with their life experiences, their tenacity, and their courage. Accepted: What sorts of applicants do you mostly work with? Cindy: I work with applicants to all types of programs: MBA and other business/finance program, law, med, and other various grad programs. The bulk of the work in recent years is with MBA and EMBA applicants. Accepted: What are your top 3 admissions tips? Cindy: 1.   As you work on your application, keep laser focused on making it answer one core question: Why will the adcom admit you over other well qualified applicants from similar backgrounds? 2.   You’ve probably heard it before, but my 15+ years of experience have shown it to be consistently true: To differentiate yourself, it’s not a matter of having the most dramatic story, the most unusual experience, the rarest demographic – it’s what you have to say about your experience, whatever it is. I’ve read outstanding, compelling, unforgettable (dare I say sometimes hilarious) essays written about something as seemingly mundane as playing weekend basketball with one’s buddies, and as plebian as growing up in a â€Å"typical† Omaha family – the applicants got into top-5 MBA and law programs. It’s a matter of the person, the individual, who’s doing the telling. Show your perspective, your character, your synthesis of experience. Have, and express, a point of view. 3.   Clarify your motivations, whatever you’re discussing – whether describing your goals or actions you took. 3 Parts of a Nucleotide and How They Are Connected

Nucleotides are the building blocks of the DNA and RNA used as genetic material. Nucleotides also are used for cell signaling and to transport energy throughout cells. You may be asked to name the three parts of a nucleotide and explain how they are connected or bonded to each other. Heres the answer for both DNA and RNA. Nucleotides in DNA and RNA Both deoxyribonucleic acid (DNA) and ribonucleic acid (RNA) are made up of nucleotides which consist of three parts: Nitrogenous BasePurines and pyrimidines are the two categories of nitrogenous bases. Adenine and guanine are purines. Cytosine, thymine, and uracil are pyrimidines. In DNA, the bases are adenine (A), thymine (T), guanine (G), and cytosine (C). In RNA, the bases are adenine, thymine, uracil, and cytosine,Pentose SugarIn DNA, the sugar is 2-deoxyribose. In RNA, the sugar is ribose. Both ribose and deoxyribose are 5-csrbon sugars. The carbons are numbered sequentially, to help keep track of where groups are attached. The only difference between them is that 2-deoxyribose has one less oxygen atom attached to the second carbon.Phosphate GroupA single phosphate group is PO43-. The phosphorus atom is the central atom. One atom of oxygen is connected to the 5-carbon in the sugar and to the phosphorus atom. When phosphate groups link together to form chains, as in ATP (adenosine triphosphate), the link looks like O-P-O-P-O-P-O, with two additional oxygen atom attached to each phosphorus, one on either side of the atom. ​Although DNA and RNA share some similarities, they are built from slightly different sugars, plus there is a base substitution between them. DNA uses thymine (T), while RNA uses uracil (U). Both thymine and uracil bind to adenine (A). How Are the Parts of a Nucleotide Connected or Attached? The base is attached to the primary or first carbon. The number 5 carbon of the sugar is bonded to the phosphate group. A free nucleotide may have one, two, or three phosphate groups attached as a chain to the 5-carbon of the sugar. When nucleotides connect to form DNA or RNA, the phosphate of one nucleotide attaches via a phosphodiester bond to the 3-carbon of the sugar of the next nucleotide, forming the sugar-phosphate backbone of the nucleic acid.

Job A is being offered by Mr Thorne that would require a huge investment from Dave. Thorne has offered Dave an offer to work with him for piggyback rail terminal that is situated between Dallas and Houston. The project is being studied by a group of business school students to evaluate the feasibility. The offer seems attractive as it is likely to attract business from Dallas and Houston. The cost of land on which the project would be built is 1/100 the cost of industrial property located in Dallas or Houston. The job offer seems lucrative if considered from the salary and future perspective. Dave would receive around 50k-70k salary along with bonus and equity share in the business. Dave must make an intelligent career choice here by applying all his knowledge and evaluating the external factors. He must also analyze the situation from an alternative perspective. He must consider that he would also be required to invest a huge amount of 200k to 300k dollars for which he would have pu t up his entire savings in the project. He would also have to make many adjustments in his lifestyle and his wife would also have to bear it. Further, the business may or may not be able to generate results in future that could devastate the entire career of Dave.
